Trumper Gallant and Bingo Malloy return for their much-anticipated second adventure set in the quirky English village of Dragonbutt. As the founding members of MAOS, it was up to the boys to uphold the Entwhistle Oath they had both sworn, and that meant investigating the mysterious group of ladies who call themselves the DWI. With the help of the young reporter, Barry Beasley, along with Old Mrs Dingle and her funny-looking dog, Trumper and Bingo have to face not only the forbidding-looking Mumford, but they must also battle a whole bunch of terrifying monsters that unbeknown to the residents of the village have now returned to Dragonbutt. Unfortunately, monsters are not the only thing that the boys have to contend with during these troubling times. After a twenty-five year hiatus, another menace had returned to wreak havoc on the residents of Dragonbutt, as the oldest person in the village, Emilia Baggot, would discover to her out-and-out dismay. Knowing that it would take more than the usual police methods to capture those responsible, Trumper and Bingo, together with their Dragonbutt Primary School classmates, Bertie Bovington and Flitcher Jenkins, show Detective Heather Huntress just what it takes to solve this strange and utterly perplexing mystery…
