A compilation of true stories lovingly describes the life of a Russian Jewish immigrant family who became Americans in 1916. Ralph, the young son of an immigrant father, grew up and made a successful life for himself and his family, and eventually wrote these letters to his ever-growing family.

They are cheerful, philosophical, and full of details of life in Russia before the trip to the west. America before World War II is also chronicled in warm and personal detail. Compiled by Ralph’s son and grandsons, they reflect Ralph and his wife Mollie’s remarkable journey - a story of family, faith and love, of persecution, immigration and integration, within the mainstream of American life.
