Averie was young, naive, innocent, and pure of heart. It was all these traits combined why she was blessed with a special gift. Not one of golden coins or rubies and gems, but with child. A gift from the creator that would change the world forever, if she could only reach the Isle of Aramoor before King Karayan snatched her away and snuffed out her life like a candle.

Elwrick–a spiritual guide–sat idle as all those before her where destroyed, and the child offered to a dark and sinister being not from this world. No longer could he remain silent and cursed the creator with anger. It was this act alone which allowed him to seek help among the people, and the man he chose was quite possibly more dangerous than the king himself, a man known only as Pegan Rhoe.

Pegan lived a solitary life; farming, fishing, and defending himself from the occasional attack when kobolds ventured up from the Silver Mountains. That is, until one night when he came home to find a strange parchment attached to his door, unsigned, the seal unrecognizable which would cast him back into a life he had abandoned many, many, many, years ago…
