In the process of writing this book, something became apparent to me: one reaps what earlier generations sowed. By that I mean that who we are individually is meaningfully influenced by the personalities and the choices made by those who came before us.This is a story of a family. In the case of my father’s side, the story includes three generations on both sides of his family (Funk and Wetli) after they arrived in the United States circa the Civil War. Any family story continues with each new generation, but this book terminates in the early 1950s. It’s my hope you enjoy getting to know these people.
