Jim and The Stuttering Parrot, a Children's book that is aimed at educating young children who are speech impaired. This book will educate and motivate young children to develop an understanding of inclusion and uniqueness. Specifically, young children who think their uniqueness make them handicap and those who bully others because they seem different. The struggles that Jim faced throughout his life will provide an example of a real life situation and how this can be resolved through openness. As a child Jim was a loner. He struggled to communicate with his peers due to his stuttering. All his peers except Ben and Tom ignored him. They took the time out to listen to him and accept his uniqueness. Being alone for a while, Jim got a parrot to keep his company who later spoke with a stutter as well. Jim was amazed and found comfort in the parrot. Later he realized that if he was more open about his uniqueness to others, he would have been accepted by them.
