The idea for this book came to me while engaging in my hobby of writing. I had written a number of short stories and anecdotes related to lifestyle in New York City. One day it dawned on me that many could benefit from reading a book that captures a holistic view of migration from different countries to the United States. Let us look at New York City to be precise. Such a city known for its diversity in ethnicity and culture would probably be the best choice for relocating. It is said to be a melting pot of cultures defined through various activities, museums, stores and restaurants, where you could meet up with people of various countries, experience unique cuisine and products from all over the world, listen to international music and even watch foreign films. It is no surprise that New York City is home to and the headquarters of one of the world's most significant international organization: The United Nations. It could be said that the city is in itself a live united nation.
