One day I was considering the tale of Sheherazade and the Arabian nights. How difficult would it be to write a thousand and one stories in a thousand and one nights, and keep my head. It took a lot of late nights and coffee, but the goal was accomplished. Then they had to be rewritten and winnowed down. Ray Bradbury is quoted as saying, "Write a short story every week. It's not possible to write 52 bad short stories in a row". I hope I haven't proven Ray Bradbury wrong.
