The author, in his late 80s, has memories from age three. In his professional career he has been a history teacher, school counselor, administrator of psychological services, and psychologist in private practice. Fischlowitz has worked in his native Missouri, in the DC area and in Honolulu, HI. Though not a scientist, Fischlowitz has had a life-long interest in the ways scientific and technical innovations affect our culture and our daily lives. He has written books of poetry and short stories, and a biography of his wife, a Holocaust Survivor. Retired in Southern California, he also enjoys writing fun yet educational books for his youngest grandchildren.
