Are the disappearances the work of a human killer...or something far darker?
DON'T WALK ALONE, OR THE STITCHER WILL FIND YOU. Abby Ward lives in a town haunted by disappearances. People vanish, and when they're found, their bodies have been dismembered and sewn back together in unnatural ways. But is it the work of a human killer...or something far darker?
DON'T STAY OUT LATE, OR THE STITCHER WILL TAKE YOU. She and her younger sister live by a strict set of rules designed to keep them safe-which is why it's such a shock when Hope is taken. Desperate to get her back, Abby tells the police everything she knows, but they claim their hands are tied.
DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES, OR THE STITCHER WILL REMAKE YOU. With every hour precious, Abby and her friends are caught in a desperate game of cat and mouse. They have to get Hope back. Quickly. Before too much of her is cut away. And before everything they care about is swallowed up by the darkness waiting in the tunnels beneath the home they thought they knew.

A spine-chilling new horror novel sure to keep readers on the edge of their seat, Where He Can’t Find You sets the bar for what YA horror can be. The story follows Abby and her group of close friends as they try to survive in Doubtful, a town plagued by a mysterious serial killer.
The Stitcher has been taking victims from Doubtful for over 100 years. No one is sure whether it is multiple copycat killers, or perhaps a supernatural entity. The only thing for sure is that nobody escapes the Stitcher. His victims turn up weeks or months after they are taken, cut up and sewn back together in almost unidentifiable ways – if they are found at all.
Living in the shadow of the Stitcher, Abby and her friends have been forced to develop strategies to protect themselves. But when one of their own is taken, they’ll discover just how little they really know about surviving the Stitcher.
This book had me terrified. Darcy Coates does a phenomenal job of creating a disturbing atmosphere and a horrifying villain. Abby and her friends’ fear is palpable throughout the entire novel, however their ingenuity and love for each other keeps the book from ever becoming grim. You’ll be rooting for them all the way, feeling their struggles, and revelling in their victories.
I would recommend this for anyone who loves horror books and movies, especially slasher and slightly supernatural stories. This book is for audiences 15+, due to graphic depictions of violence and gore.
