'It's not the Hammer that Hurts' is the story of my life. It is a multi-generational memoir, describing my mother's life as well as mine, spanning the hundred years from 1918 to the present and locations from Limerick, Ireland to Kerala, India. It is also, in part, a psychological analysis of how the legacy of my father's abuse affected my family, and how I managed to stop this rot.
