Il protagonista e Fiorenzo, gnomo che, "pur al coraggio poco propenso", dimostra grande cuore nell'aiutare tutte le creature in difficolta che incontra nel suo viaggio. In questo volume, infatti, Fiorenzo parte alla ricerca di un rimedio che possa scacciare la Nebbia, che ha coperto il Bosco dei MIllefiori e pare non voler andare piu via. Il libro, come tutti i volumi della saga, si conclude con una morale, che, se attuata, porta a migliorare il Bosco dei Millefiori quale metafora del mondo reale che ci circonda e in cui quotidianamente viviamo.
