In the United States, David is related to two Presidents (John Knox Polk and Franklin Pierce) and many colonial families who were important to the founding and expansion of the United States. A Freemason, David walks in the steps of several of his Freemason ancestors including President John Knox Polk who was a 5th generation Freemason. Men fought in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, Mexican American War, Civil War, WW1 and WW2, as well as the VietNam War. From Boston to California, the Owens ancestors were part of the fabric of America.
