Raymond Pritchard was born into a close-knit, supportive family in the St. Pancras area of London, in June, 1930. In this book, he recounts his early childhood experiences of tenement living, life during the Blitz, evacuation to rural Wales and eventual relocation to near Reading in Berkshire.
