Fueron centenares las republicanas que en los albores del siglo XX se dedicaron a erradicar la miseria, la desigualdad, la servidumbre y el analfabetismo en la mujer. No puedo menos que detallar que muchas de ellas jamas volvieron del exilio; unas murieron asesinadas en los campos de concentracion alemanes como Mauthausen o Ravensbruck y las que se quedaron acabaron en prisiones espanolas ultrajadas o fusiladas. Otras permanecieron el resto de sus vidas como fantasmas apatridas sin poder regresar hacia aquella Espana por la que sangraron dentro y fuera de sus entranas.
