This is an interlinear New Testament comprised of the 1582 Rheims and the 1592 Clementine Vulgate. The Rheims is the REAL Rheims, not the Challoner edition by Bp. Challoner falsely sold as the Douay Rheims Bible. The Rheims is Red Letter for the name and words of Christ. It is published in large size both for the serious student of Scripture and also for the average reader who wishes to compare the Latin Vulgate to the English of the REAL Rheims New Testament published by the English Divines in Rheims, France. This is a literal translation of the Vulgate as opposed to various polemical texts which alter the words of Scripture to fit their particular denominational theology.
