Lorraine Verity started writing from an early age, keeping a diary from about the age of 8 years old and writing little jingles for friends. She then wrote jingles for special family occasions, while at the same time writing whatever inspired her thoughts at the time. She stopped writing but later in life joined 'Cleveleys Writers' who inspired her to again put pen to paper. A group within 'Cleveleys Writers' called 'Cleveleys Writers With a Song', of which Lorraine is a member, visit nursing homes to perform their poetry with musical accompaniments for charity.
