My poetry book, Nightmares And Daydreams, is a collection of poems that bring back the classic feel of poetry through rhyme and rhythm. The book is laid out in two chapters or sections, Nightmares being the first section and Daydreams being the second. The book begins with poems about the difficulties in life such as heartbreak, loss, living with mental health disorders, and trauma. Each poem is very personal to my own experiences in life, yet relatable to many readers who have gone through many similar situations in their own lives. The second half of the book, titled Daydreams, is a collection of poems about life's greatest moments and all of the things in life to be grateful for. The goal in writing this book was to share my personal experiences in life through relatable poetry, in a way that brings the reader hope in the end. No matter how many nightmares they've experienced in life, there's always something to look forward to, and so much to be grateful for.
