Dreams of Laika is an illustrated semi-fantastical science fiction novel with a strong philosophical backbone. It is about life beyond Earth, the power of art and music, love, identity, mortality and the unknown. It is comprised of two interlaced stories that merge in the most mysterious of ways: one taking place inside a living space vessel with a synesthetic environment powered by music on her way to colonise a new world; the other on Earth where a mother undergoes transformations taking her beyond humanity in search for her lost family.
