According to legend, when the Pied Piper was cheated by the villagers of Hamelin, he decided to exact payment in a way they least expected-he played his flute and enchanted their children away from their homes. He brought them inside a mountain, and the children were never seen again. So, what happened to them once they entered the mountain? Shelley finds out when she is caught up in one of Piper's enchantments and becomes trapped inside the mountain with dozens of other children.
