With The Who, Pink Floyd and Ginger Baker announced as headliners, the Yorkshire Folk, Blues and Jazz Festival at Krumlin in Calderdale should have been one of the major events of 1970. But a freak storm on the Saturday night, plus an almost farcical series of misfortunes, turned it into one of the year’s biggest disasters instead. This 96-page chronicle of the run-up to the event and its unfolding, by music journalist Ben Graham, includes a foreword by co-organiser Brian Highley, plus vintage photos and memorabilia, including shots of performing acts such as the Groundhogs and Pentangle.
