One day in the year 1743, a king asked his most trusted advisers, What should I do if a person tries to touch my toupee? One of the advisers says, His hand should be chopped off. Another adviser says, He should be beheaded in front of the commoners. The third and wisest adviser to the king said, He should be given a bar of chocolate. The king and the other two advisers were baffled by this response. Why did the third adviser suggest this?
