The stakes have never been higher.

At least five generations co-exist in a state of uneasy truce today. No one seems to hear the other. For the first time in mankind’s history, their differences in preferences, priorities and prejudices have become tangible. The resulting grief is hurting our collective emotional and mental health.

Generations are meant to be keepers of each other, they are the continuum of human survival, repositors of life’s DNA. But for that to happen, there has to be a fundamental generational benevolence and that is no longer a given.

How do we begin to change this headache into a help? The first step is to appreciate what lies behind the assumptions about each other. Why is a Boomer not ok anymore? What limitations, latitudes and legacies defined this cohort?
