Todd Wiegand grew up in the small town of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He had the honor of serving his country in the United States Air Force. His life experiences include those of medical and aeromedical evacuation, nursing, and various other business and professional capacities. The book is a composite of a personal nature. Even though there are problems, one still has hope! He hopes that the readers will find the work enlightening and relational to aspects of their own personal experiences.
In 2010, Wiegand was a finalist in the International Society of Poets for the poem The Special Man. In 2011, he was a semifinalist, and in 2014, at the Regional Veteran Talent Show, he received two first place awards for the poems Not Free, Freedom and Have, Have Not, and a second place award for the poem The Line.
