Ling Dingnian is an outstanding mini-novel writer. In 1994 he became a member of the Chinese Writers’ Association. His titles include Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Writer’s Network, President of the World Mini-novel Research Society, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Association for Creating Mini-films and Mini-novels and a guest professor of Asia Microfilm Academy. He has had more than 5000 works published in various literary magazines such as People’s Literature , Chinese Writers , etc. The number of words in all these works amounts to 10 million which have been compiled into 53 collected works. Besides, he has also been the chief editor in compiling over 230 other collected works. His own works have been translated into nine foreign languages such as English, French, Japanese, German, Korean, Thai, Dutch, Turkish and Uygur. Sixteen of his mini-novels can be seen in college and high school textbooks in Japan, South Korea, America, Canada, Turkey, Singapore and Hong Kong. Some of his works are included in over 500 collected works published at home and abroad.
