Genocide is not confined to the history books. Each year, governments and paramilitary groups engage in the destruction of national, ethnic, racial, or religious groups, not only by killing members of the groups, but also by limiting births, relocating children, and comitting other atrocities. Perpetrators and victims of genocide are discussed, along with efforts to eliminate the scourge.
