After several seasons, Taelo announces a journey for the Clan's future leaders.
The response is overwhelming, but Taelo limits the number and requests that the Clan leaders of each Elk Clan name only four future leaders.
The Journey is to travel the eastern sea in a circle that follows the natural currents of the sea.
He leaves in the dead of winter so that he can use the sleds and the wolves to pull them in hopes that he can make it all the way to the mighty river.
Once to the river the mounts are used to transport the supplies and the going gets more challenging.
Building the rafts that will be used to traverse and ride the sea currents is a challenge that his team once again are able to overcome.
Then the ride seems to be going smoothly except for the occasional sea storms.
When they make land to replenish supplies they are attacked by a tribe of warriors that take Burley Bear captive and plan to throw him off a cliff.
Taleo and the warrior team that he befriended in his previous journey overcome the attackers. The team and his friends sail on following the sea currents ever southward.
Then the time comes to take the currents back across to the west. The storm that hits is one of the worst that Taelo has ever experienced. The rafts are driven backwards as the storm roars over them.
The journey back to the starting point and then back to the clan meeting has taken several seasons and everyone returns rich in knowledge, rich in furs and sharks teeth and truly developed visionary future leaders of the clan.
