Answering Islam: A Christian Response to the Claims of Islam

For 1,400 years, Islam has claimed that Christianity is a corruption of Islam, the one true religion. This book sets forth reasoned responses to Islam’s claims. The purpose of this book is to show that for every claim made in Islam, there is a reasoned counterclaim in support of Christianity. This book acknowledges that the seeker who sets out to understand and know God through reason alone can never come to truly know God; reasoned arguments can be leveraged both in support of and against the tenets of Christianity. Ultimately, one cannot rely on logic, reason or science alone to either prove or disprove Christianity or the veracity of the Bible. Faith must fill the gap. Every seeker of God must make a choice to either accept the claims of Christ and the Bible or to reject them. Both choices involve faith. This book, by offering reasoned responses to Islam’s claims against Christianity, demonstrates that the choice to follow Christ is not an unreasonable one. It is a choice that is supported by rational arguments. This book is an invitation to every Muslim to carefully weigh the arguments in favor of Christ and the claims of the Bible and, after considering the arguments and through careful prayer, to choose to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and thereby experience new life, hope and eternal salvation.
