Then someone in the government decided the pandemic and the lawlessness never happened. His video was inconvenient. But who would want to ruin his life? Could it be the Big Sister who stares down from posters all over the city?

Fritz (born in Book 3) blames his mother, Isla (narrator of Book 3), for his troubles. He never wanted this existential angst. He never asked to be born. Maybe his troubles began with that damn tuba.
