At some point, during your personal journey, you realize you are your greatest asset. I’ve struggle the most with this reality when reflecting on some of the decisions I’ve made throughout the years. How could I trust myself to be my sole provider of love, when my words were never good enough for me to receive them? I’ve spent so much time waiting on validation from others. Waiting for their words to inspire me to be great, until now. During the entire 2020 pandemic, I took the time to reevaluate my life and truly get to know myself. I needed to understand how my mind worked. I needed to understand what it took for me to feel loved and appreciated. I needed to figure out me. After several months of tears and reconciliation with myself, I’ve realized I had everything I needed right inside of me. I found my greatest strength was in the words I chose to speak to myself and believe. God has not created us to rely on the words of the world but to trust our natural capabilities to live fruitful lives. What we feed ourselves is ultimately what we become. I spent years speaking negativity, voicing my frustrations and dwelling in them. Not any more. If I could speak all the things I saw wrong in my life and believed them, why not try speaking the life I desired. I decided to start identifying with only the things I saw for myself. Even if they weren’t in my reach at that moment. I spoke the path it would take to get me there and started walking into my greatness. We are capable of everything we desire. The first step is recognizing who you are and owning that strength. You are everything you need.
