This book is instruction on understanding the Book of Revelation. It is not a commentary, although some may use it in that manner. Each chapter is a lesson initially taught at approximately one-week intervals. Each lesson builds upon the previous teaching. The book is designed to be used with an open Bible and concurrent Scripture reading. The student can assess whether the instruction is consistent with the Scripture. Lively and exciting discussions will be encouraged, and learning facilitated. After all, the Word of God is guaranteed to impact hearts; Isaiah 55:11 teaches God's Word accomplishes His purpose. Most people are immediately attracted to prophesy but are hesitant to trust it. Speculation and fraud are rampant in the arena of predicting future things. However, God's Word is sure and can be trusted. Whatever God says will come to pass is certain. Understanding God's plan for the future is not difficult when approached intelligently with sound interpretive principles. The story is fantastic. It is a God-sized story and difficult only because it taxes the human mind to more significant perceptions than usual. It makes us uncomfortable. We are not in control.
