From the opening page that outlines the ideal reader, to the final page that completes the mentoring process, there are suggestions and anecdotes designed to make the potential mentor understand the rationale and process that makes up the mentoring relationship. Mentoring is more than just a chat in the corridor. It is achieved successfully only with a combination of self-awareness, vulnerability, trust, and respect without judgement on the part of the mentor. This book helps to unlock these characteristics.
