Colton Bonner was orphaned at the age of 14. New to the West, he was forced to make his own way in a strange land with dangers he had yet to imagine. Forced to stay on the move to avoid his pursuers, Colton's life became a battle for survival and anonymity. A chronicle of his search for a home and a normal life, this three-part novel follows Colton's travels throughout the American West and his encounters with good men, bad men, and, on occasion, even decent young men simply led astray. It is the story of how Colton came to be a legend, how he came to detest that legend, and how he finally managed to leave that legend behind him.
