Vagor has drifted aimlessly through most of his life, moving from one score to the next. After a card game gone bad, he finds himself on the run from an angry gang of asteroid miners. He is faced with confronting the brutal realities of the Martian colony otherwise known as 'First City', or taking his chances with a crew on the deadly hunt for mineral rich asteroids in The Belt.
