Edward Victor Dick began life as a simple farm boy but was always attracted to music. Growing up amidst the cultural revolution of the 1960’s was fertile ground for his exceptionally active imagination. A dramatic epiphany in his early 20’s led him to pursue a career as a builder of musical instruments. This is the story of that journey, how he navigated the world of guitar-making and lutherie, and some of the the musicians he met along the way. It describes the obstacles he had to overcome, what he learned, and the philosophy he developed as a professional musician and a builder of musical instruments.
