In the ancient Nordic language, the word "Orm" means elm tree. The word "Orms" would be a forest of elm trees. Since Orm and his relatives lived "by" the elm trees, they became known by their family name of "Ormsby". This book tells the story of how the head of the "Ormsby" clan, a Viking known as "Orm", rose to prominence as a warrior and became king of a foreign land. The reader will learn how Orm sets off with his mighty crew, consisting of his nine grandchildren, and how Orm cleverly becomes the first person to put his foot in the sand to become king of the conquered land.
