The author, now 90, has memories from age 3. Though a retired licensed psychologist, he is also an amateur historian. His career included teaching history, and administration of psychological services in schools in his native Missouri, in the DC are, and in Honolulu. Though not a scientist, Fischlowitz has had a life-long interest in the ways scientific and technical innovations affect our culture and our daily lives. He has written books of poetry, short stories, and a biography of his wife, a child Holocaust survivor. He is now retired in Honolulu, HI.
