His career included teaching history, and administration of psychological services in schools in his native Missouri, in the DC are, and in Honolulu. Though not a scientist, Fischlowitz has had a life-long interest in the ways scientific and technical innovations affect our culture and our daily lives. He has written books of poetry, short stories, and a biography of his wife, a child Holocaust survivor. He is now retired in Honolulu, HI.
