This book tells the history and answers to the many lessons we've learned in our time. It is also about the journey our family who survived the violence, starvation, and diseases they encountered. For them, the journey continued to a refugee camp, where they lived for nine years in severe conditions that often existed in the third world. In 2004, the united states approved their resettlements. They couldn't be more fortunate than this. Before moving to the United States, they had never encountered conveniences such as computers, cars, and modern American lifestyle. Thankful for American volunteers who helped them in the process of adjusting to their new life in a developed country. Although our grandma's dream for her daughters were bigger than what they choose to live now with all the experience they had in life grandma still called South Sudan her beloved country, land of their birth. She reminds us to think positive. Raising children continues to be a challenge in USA but, despite the challenges our family face in the United States, we hold on tightly to our faith and we believe that there will be breakthrough one day.
