The book is a refutation of the Intermediate State, which teaches a separation of the soul and body of the saint at death, and the future bodily resurrection of all mankind at the Final Judgment. The Final Judgment is the resurrection of the lost to judgment. The Christian is resurrected body and soul to heaven at death, thus the title of the book, A Resurrection Like Christ's.
