Jim Crow laws created a separate but equal system that was anything but equal. In what was considered the greatest nation in the world, there was no room for citizens of color to have any pleasures of life like vacationing. The Authers created an enchanting vacation resort that could rival many of the white ones. This is the story of how they made their dream resort successful and the people who helped build it.
