The otherwise non-descript book cover photograph depicts two American Banzai trees (NYC) which are from 1986, so that’s 35 years ago ! If left to grow freely, this vegetation would grow to be much higher & larger than even the other tree in the background. Each tree is about 4.5 feet tall, and has been trimmed periodically since these were mere twigs. The lesson here is that we humans can ‘control’ to an extent, but nature per se remains as the overarching & uncertain factor.
