Lexi the coonhound lives in the dog pound, but every night she dreams of leaving the pound and finding a new forever home.

One day, Zoey and her mom go to the pound to look at dogs up for adoption. When Zoey sees Lexi's sad face, she wants to adopt her right away. Although Lexi is excited to leave the pound, she is also a little sad about leaving her furry friends who have kept her company all this time.
