This is the story of how I suffered half my life with an anger problem and also found out I was suffering with depression. I just thought I had a temper, not anger issues. From being bullied as a child to becoming promiscuous, drinking, and smoking pot in college. Then in 1994 I moved to Indiana. Three years later I admitted I had an anger problem and sought counseling. My counselor was (and is) a Christian counsellor. She had given me a test to see where my anger level ranked. Of course, it was almost at the top of the scale. Through many years of counselling, going back to Church and finding a "home" at Hanfield Methodist Church in Marion, Indiana I was well on my way to becoming the person I should have been. The old saying "it gets worse before it gets better" is so true. I became angrier before the healing started to take over. In 2018 I moved to Maine to be what turned out to be the last year and three months of my mom's life. She died from the end stages of Alzheimer's in 2020. God puts us in a place for a season. My season in Maine gave me the opportunity to find the ending to this book in that there is HOPE for everyone to overcome anything. Everyone can be peaceful and happy if you have God in your life. I was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, MA, growing up in the 60's and 70's. After High School, I went away to college but never graduated. When I was in school, I was never very good at writing. So, it's amazing that I'm writing my first book. As a child in elementary school, I was bullied. But back then it was called "being picked on". As an adult, I finally admitted I had an anger problem. After all the years in counselling, going back to church and listening to Christian music, I became a peaceful and happy person. God kept nudging me to write my testimony about my journey from being an angry (full of rage) person to becoming a peaceful and happy person. I don't know where the rest of my life will lead. But I know that God is with me. If he wants me to write another book, I will take up the pen and do it again.
