My life was under the influence of darkness, by the age of 24, l had already had 3 car accident, broken my arm and on my way to the grave. I was overweight, struggling with self-esteem and struggling with alcohol. If it was not for the prayers of my grandmother and mother l do not know if l would still be around. In this book l talk about my journey from darkness to light. My passion is that through my story you can be encouraged to rise above the challenges you face. I wish l can tell you it is easy or it was easy but that would be a lie. What l can tell you though is that light is more powerful than darkness and has a desire that you choose it. I did not journey from darkness to light through my own will power or strength, there were people such as my grandmother, mother and wife who helped me to be where l am. You also can be the light bearer to those in darkness.

My name is Nkosilomusa, which means God is gracious. This is the name that my grandfather gave me after losing his only son who was fifteen years old. My grandfather instead of allowing grief to consume him, named me as praise to God after a tragedy. You will think with such a good name l was a saint, far from it. My teenage years like lots of teenagers were full of rebellion. I was nearly expelled from secondary school because of alcohol abuse. Alcohol was my escape from the trauma of losing my grandfather at a young age. Alcohol was soon introduced to marijuana and the rest is history.
