I had a perfect life. I had wonderful, loving parents and a brother I loved deeply. As an adult, I had a great career, a caring and devoted husband, two wonderful children, a loving, extended family, and great friends. All that changed in 2021, after experiencing the unfathomable loss of three immediate family members within a few months of each other. My trust in the Lord to work everything out for me was shaken. It has been two years since those horrific events, and my grief journey has been a series of ups and downs. Along the way, the Lord has revealed many things to me; my faith has become even stronger, and I now understand the Lord never left my side. This book serves as a testimony of my grief journey and a journal for others who have experienced traumatic loss. I pray it brings you solace. K. Joyner makes her premiere as an author with this book. It was inspired by events that occurred during 2021. Kelli grew up in Detroit during the 1970's and credits God and her parents with the person she has become. Faith in the Lord, kindest, integrity and generosity serve as her mantras in life. Kelli earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from University of Michigan (Dearborn campus) and a MBA from Mercy College of Detroit (now known as University of Detroit Mercy). Kelli worked in the field of Industrial Engineering at a Fortune 500 company for close to 36 years, before retiring the end of 2020. She enjoys writing, reading, traveling and miniature dollhouse collecting. Kelli lives in a suburb of Atlanta, along with her husband and best friend, Keith and their two young adult children, Austin and Brooke.
