This is a story of Kona a Bernese Mountain Dog and his adventures with the wildlife that live near and around the pond where he lives. The magic happens with this gentle giant when he discovers that most the encounters with many of the wildlife are peaceful and welcoming his presence. He lets them know that he will always protect them.
Michelle LeFevre has dedicated her life to the learning and growth of children. Not only has she taught hundreds of children throughout her career but with a degree in Early Childhood Development, she has opened, directed, and developed the curriculum for pre-schools in California and Arizona. After 35 years of teaching, she and her husband Steve retired to Camano Island in Washington State. Here they live on a spall pond teeming with wildlife, alongside their beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Kona. It has always been Michelle's dream to write a children's book so she can share her love of reading with children everywhere. It is her hope that "On Kona's Pond" can inspire imagination and creativity in all who read it.
