The citizens of Montclair were finally at ease and life returned to normal for this small town. Just as everyone stopped being afraid, a new killer comes to town. This killer is carrying on the family tradition driving semi trucks and taking lives. His father, Chico Chavez Sr., taught him how to drive and how to be a man. One other thing his father taught him was how to kill. The truck stop allows long-haul truckers to come in to rest and refuel. One driver, Chico Chaves Jr. uses the truck stop to capture and kill his victims. Chico Jr. was an only child, and his father abused him severely. Chico Jr. began to ride with his father when he was ten years old. He witnessed his father pick up and kill a prostitute in the sleeper part of his truck. At the age of nineteen Chico Chaves Jr. began driving after his father died suddenly of a heart attack. Chico Jr.‘s life mission was simple; to live and be like his father. Now that Chico Jr. was on his own, he decided to carry on the family tradition of driving trucks and killing prostitutes. M. Everett Baylor has a background in law. He’s been writing since the age of eight. He received a Master’s Degree in Law from Champlain College in Burlington Vermont. His literary heroes are Stephen King and John Sandford. His passion for writing came to life at an early age. That passion leads him to begin his literary journey and allowed him to pursue his dreams of becoming a writer. M. Everett Baylor has written over thirty books. His writings include series in the genres of Romance, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Thrillers and Children’s books as well.
