Joe was also in the service for 15 years, serving as a flight medic and crew chief with a helicopter Medevac unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Joe holds the following degrees: BA (History), MBA, MATS (Theology), and a JD (Law). Joe and his wife, Nancy, have been married for almost 50 years. Joe has two grown sons. Joe and Nancy live in Jefferson City, Missouri, with their Blue Heeler, Gus. They have been long-time members of Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City.
