Peter Anthony Moore was born in Brownsville Brooklyn and grew up in East New York Brooklyn and Barbados. Peter graduated from the New York High school of Performing arts as sole recipient of the playbill award (Most multitalented graduate). Dancing with Alvin Ailey started his professional performing career. Dancing with Alvin Ailey has afforded Peter the honor of dancing on most of the New York stages including Carnegie Hall and The Met . Peter assisted Alvin Ailey in creating the ballets Magica Caverna and Inside. He later went on to Choreograph Mad Pain for the opening celebrations of the 1996 Olympic games. The musical A Chorus Line taught Peter to sing. He made his Broadway debut when He became an original cast member of Disney’s The Lion King . Peter became a Screen Actor’s guild member in 1983, and has been seen in many New York film and television productions such as I Love NY commercial, when in Rome, Thanks for sharing, Ugly Betty, confessions of a shopaholic and many more. Mr. Moore has always been a teaching artist in the Tristate area. He has recently worked with Arts East New York teaching Musical Theater, Drama, and creating plays for our new generation of artists. His artwork has been honored at Crown Heights Arts to end Violence and Brooklyn Arts council’s Access Art. Mr. Moore is best known for making it happen.
