Max Hawkins a former Staff Sergeant in the US Army and was called to serve in Vietnam; the Lord protected and brought me home in one peace. After an honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, I was employed at the General Electric Co. for 20 years and 3 months. First of all I think God for looking beyond my faults and seeing my needs, God never gave up by continuing to reminding me that I needed to be saved. One day as I was traveling on Volusia Avenue in Daytona Beach, Florida. God spoke the words of eternal life to me and ask what would happen if I died of a heart attack, as you know that can be fatal, and without warning. I broke out in a cold sweat because I knew what the end would be for my Soul, I was a sinner. But praise be to God for not giving up on me, I confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Jesus wonderfully saved and filled me with the Holy Ghost. I attended the American School of the Bible. God inspired me to write this training manual for all that wish to be taught the truth of the gospel. In 1985 I was appointed pastor of the Madison Heights Church of God In Christ. We built a new edifice in 1996 and continued to be blessed by the Lord.
