Illustrations are vividly sculpted in clay and photographed in high resolution in a 10 x7 format. The poem is in regular meter (8.7.8.7) with a regular rhyming pattern of AABCCB. The poem has nine strophes, across two facing pages. The book includes a song with piano accompaniment so that the book could either be read or sung as well as an Orff orchestration for children to play in ensemble. Ukulele chords are included for extra convenience. This book is the first of three currently being developed. Ran Whitley, DM, PhD is the Professor of Music Education at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC.
